Cleobury Golf Club Captains Weekend: A Resounding Success!

A huge thank you to Captain David Mendham for hosting an unforgettable competition at Cleobury Golf Club! Despite the unpredictable weather, the sun shone brightly on Saturday, bringing together the largest field of golfers we've seen all year.

The highlight of the event was David's "Beat the Captain" challenge on the 6th hole of Badgers Sett, where brave golfers took on their fearless leader.

Those who triumphed earned a spot in the prize draw, with generous donations from David (a fantastic putter) and Mark Hyland (a couple of dozen premium golf balls).

The Winners:

Abbie Johnson claimed the coveted Straughton Salvor trophy in the ladies' competition.
Connor Deighan dominated the men's Captains Trophy with an impressive 44 points, closely followed by Ian Gough (41 points) and Dean Whatcott (39 points).
Ken Lewis sank his shot with the putter prize, while Ad Warren teed off with joy, winning the golf balls.
