The Ladies’ Summer Open took place last Friday, 20 June when 96 ladies took to the course on an extremely hot day.
There were so many positive comments about the course, the food, the organisation, the friendly welcome and not least about our half way house which was labelled outstanding and best ever! Thanks must go to all the ladies for their generous donations of treats and to those members who so generously gave their time at the half way house, as starters, welcome desk volunteers and to all our hardworking staff teams who ensured that the day ran smoothly.
The charity tombola was also a tremendous success and raised a whopping £520 for the captains’ charities! I must thank my good friend who organised the tombola from start to finish, securing a large amount of donations and to the ladies who also donated many gifts. To cap everything off, two Longcliffe ladies were in the winning team.
A fantastic day all round - it’s very difficult to appreciate just how much work goes on behind the scenes to ensure everything runs smoothly - thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
