Seniors v Wollaton
.
Another great result for Longcliffe in conditions that can only be described as flipping hot and very challenging both teams did very well on a course that was proving to be difficult to read as the ground has become very hard and the ball running further than expected giving the home team an advantage and giving Longcliffe a 3 1/2 2 1/2 win
So far this year we have played 10 matches winning 8, losing 1, halving 1
A big thank you to Dave Gould for manning the halfway house. Believe me Dave everybody said that it was a very welcome break giving a bit of respite from the heat and getting out of the sun for a few minutes as there was nobody behind it didn't create any problems .

Again a great meal thanks to Matt and his staff for a great service, we thought it was hot outside I can't imagine how hot it must have been in the kitchen

Dave the Wollaton captain said in his speech that the meal was one of the finest home cooked pies he has had for a long time.

The ground staff must be facing some of the most challenging conditions both in maintaining the course and working conditions so a big thanks to Mike and his team.
Sorry about forgetting the nearest the pin but I was concerned about everybody playing in the heat and completely forgot
