It has been a very busy few weeks at the golf club! I think it's fair to say the beautiful sunshine has had a major part to play in that. Earlier this week we had the hottest day of the year that only a few of you braved, I can confirm the bar was heavily supported that afternoon.

Despite the lack of rain, the greens are absolutely tremendous which is a huge testament to how hard our green keepers are working on the course. I am confident that those playing in the Chairman's challenge this weekend will have no complaints.

The most anticipated golf competition of the year is only two weeks away. Our two Millbrook professionals, Jack Hawksby and Chris Guy as well as one of our members Harry Lake, played in the first round of the qualifiers. Jack posted a round of 67 to finish tied 1st securing his spot in the Final qualifying at West Lancashire golf club. Jack fell just short, however the club should be proud to be represented at Open Qualifying final stages.

The Friday night texas scramble, BBQ and summer raffle was very well supported and for that reason, a really good evening. There were 64 players on the evening and a few extra that came along for food.
