'Newks' wins Devon Seniors Champs

Huge congratulations go to Paul Newcombe who won the Devon Seniors Championship at Teignmouth on Thursday July 3rd. The 27 hole event came down to the wire and Paul won it in a play-off against Rick Osborne from Churston.
That was the one major Devon County event that has eluded him (although in his defence, he only became eligible a couple of years ago).
The ‘clean sweep’ includes:-
Devon Boys 1979 & 1980
Devon Youths 1984
Devon Amateur 1986 & 2004
Devon Open 1989
Devon Salver 1996
Devon Over 35’s 2001
Devon Seniors 2025
He was also awarded QA membership at East Devon recently after meeting the milestone of being a member for 50 years!
