A stunning day weatherwise saw The Dyke Scratch team play the final of the Wellesley Plate for the 1st time since 2011….

The morning foursomes finished tied 2-2 with Ben Roberts & Nathan Finnis nicking a 1 up win after being 4 down at one stage….

The stage was set for 8 singles matches with a stand out 7 & 6 win for Leigh Evenden , a stunning half point retrieved by Arwel Roberts by birdieing the 18th…. This set the scene for the drama to unfold in the final match with Craig Millyard playing the anchor role to perfection……Craig made a stunning 4 out of the tree’s winning his game 1 up securing a 6 ½ to 5 ½ win for The Dyke.
