Tuesday 23rd September, 2025 & Tuesday 30th September 2025
Due to the Jewish New Year falling on Tuesday 23rd September, 2025 and Maintenance Week starting on Monday 29th September, 2025, there will be no Ladies’ or Men’s competitions run on either of these days. We are informed that different holes may be closed throughout the day on Tuesday 30th thereby making fair competition impossible.
Mixed Competitions
Every Sunday competition which we run from Sunday 5th October 2025 up until Captain’s Drive-In 2026 will be a mixed competition. These competitions are open to all members with Sunday playing rights and will open for booking on BRS seven days in advance. Ladies, please note that if you wish to play in these Sunday competitions, you cannot use the alternative competition day times as these are reserved for the ‘Ladies’ Only’ Tuesday competitions alternate day.
COMPETITION REQUIREMENTS
Please note that there are two updates to the requirements of entry to competitions run by The Club. The first requirement is the requirement to sign-in. You MUST sign-in before you play your competition round. Sign-in is both notification of your intent to play and additionally is payment of your competition fee. Not signing in before you play will result in disqualification.Insufficient funds in your V1 Gold Card account is not an excuse for not signing-in as funds can be topped up through the app. Sign-In times, times of score returns and round lengths are noted by the system and are compared to the tee times you book. Please do not ask the bar staff to sign you in. Sign-In is your responsibility!
The second requirement is the obligation for you to cancel your reserved Sunday Competition Tee Time by 1700 on the day before the competition if you are unable to play.
Due to complaints, Council has instructed this committee to sanction those who do not turn up for their competition rounds thereby preventing others from playing. If you do not cancel your reserved tee by 1700 the day before the competition, you will not be allowed to enter the following Sunday’s Competition.
We understand that ‘Life Happens’!! If you find that you need to cancel your tee after 1700, you MUST email us as soon as you can with the reason for your cancellation. Please ensure that you remove your name from BRS whenever you find you are unable to play.
2026 Knockouts
Please remember that if you wish to enter the 2026 knockout competitions you must have played in a minimum of 5 ‘Qualifying for Handicap’ Lee Park individual Competitions. We will continue to run qualifying competitions for as long as the weather permits so please ensure that you ‘get your games in’ if you wish to enter the 2026 knockouts.
Mystery 2’s Competitions
Please see below the results of the mystery 2’s competitions for August. The mystery 2’s will continue until the end of September. We hope to resume this popular extra next season.
The Jubilee Shield on 3rd August saw a massive 29 2’s recorded!
The mystery hole was Hole 2 which saw 6 x 2’s from Mark Roberts, Glenn Senior, Paul English, Kevin Kennedy, Lewis Graham and Mathew Puckey. As there were more than four 2’s on this hole we drew for a winner and the 12 ProV1’s were won by Kevin Kennedy.
There was no mystery 2’s competition on 10th August as it was Invitation Day.
The Charity Day Bowl on 17th August saw 23 2’s scored and very strangely included two 2’s recorded on the 17th which we included in the draw!
The mystery hole drawn was Hole 17 and very deservingly, Peter Coombes (who had 3 x 2’s in his round) and Michael Paes win 6 ProV1’s each.
In the Israel Cup on 31st of August there were 21 2’s recorded. The mystery 2’s hole was Hole 8 and Rob Delamar, Peter Rastall, Nathan Power and Jack Quinn all win a sleeve of ProV1’s each.
The balls will be available for collection from The Office from Monday 15th September.
