On the course, we are nearing the end of our winter works. Despite the challenging weather, it has been a very successful schedule.
All bunkers have now been filled with sand, and the turf is knitting in well. We are aiming to have these back in play by the second week of April, possibly sooner depending on weather conditions.
Tree work has also progressed very well. We are already seeing improvements in several areas thanks to increased light and airflow following selective tree removal. A stump grinder has been booked for the week commencing 13th April, and in the weeks following, we will begin seeding the areas where stumps have been removed.
On 7th April, we will be carrying out greens maintenance. This will include scarification, light hollow tining, and top dressing with sand. The work is expected to be minimally disruptive overall. However, there will be slightly more disruption on greens 14, 15, and 4, where drainage work was completed in the autumn. This additional work will help these surfaces continue to improve and establish more effectively.
Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to a great season ahead.
