The Scratch team have got off to a good start this season. In the league, a loss on the first day at home to Scarcroft has been made up by two 4-2 away wins at Garforth and Moor Allerton. We were at home to Normanton last night (won 4-2) followed by Headingley next Monday 15th. All members are welcome to come and support the lads. Sadly in the Knockout, against Leeds Golf Club, a team of Warren Haywood, Steve Walton and Tom Hough had a win, loss and draw which resulted in a play off where Steve Walton lost to an eagle on the 2nd hole! In the Yorkshire foursomes, Joel O’Boyle and Tom Hough have had a good record so far, beating Ganton 4&3 and West Bradford 2&1. We play Silkstone in the next round and hope to keep the momentum going. A huge appreciation to HTF Transport, Manchester for their generous sponsorship of the team shirts this year, along with the ladies, nett and junior teams.
