Temporary Internal Out of Bounds
5th hole
With effect from Friday 11th June until further notice. Following two recent incidents where tee shots from the 5th hole have come to rest in front of the Greenkeepers' Compound, players have then attempted to play over or around the maintenance buildings. On both occasions, the balls were not struck cleanly and ricocheted within the compound, creating a significant health and safety risk to staff and property. Therefore, a Temporary Internal Out of Bounds will be introduced and remain in force until suitable alternative protective measures can be implemented. When playing the 5th hole. The internal out of bounds will be defined by white posts extending from the left-hand corner of the 5th tee, running diagonally towards the Greenkeepers' Compound and terminating on the left-hand side of the 3rd hole. Any ball coming to rest beyond this boundary is out of bounds and must be treated accordingly under the Rules of Golf. Members and visitors are requested to take note of this temporary local rule and exercise due care when playing the 5th hole. Thank you for your cooperation in helping to ensure the safety of our greenkeeping staff. Kind Regards Neil Hallam Jones GM WKGC
