Captains Weekend Results What a weekend! A huge congratulations to Club Captain Mark Hyland for organizing a truly memorable and fun-filled day. Conditions were brutal — that wind turned every shot into a real test of nerve. The competition changes introduced at the start of the year are clearly working their magic. Scoring was incredibly tight across the board. Division 2 1st: Darren Reynolds – 36 points 2nd: Rob Davies – 35 points 3rd: Paul Judge – 35 points, edging it on countback Ladies Competition Winner: Liz Clewley – 33 points Division 1 3rd: Bryan Colley – 36 points 2nd: Gary Guest – 37 points 1st: Vice Captain Adrian Bloomer – 38 points, taking home the Captain's Cup. Poetic, really. A word from Mark Hyland: “Thank you to all members for donating an additional £3 to the Captain's Charity — we raised £225. The circle I marked on the 6th at Badgers Sett was 12 yards wide and still proved too small — literally no one hit it! That means the £100 voucher and balls roll over to the Captains' Foursomes in September. I promise to make it easier next time.
