First taste of the professional game
Pro's News
Last week, I had the opportunity to play in my first professional event this season, and it was an experience I thoroughly enjoyed from start to finish. Competing at that level was both exciting and eye-opening. There was a noticeable step up in quality throughout the field, but I was pleased with how I performed and felt that my game stood up well. I hit the ball solidly, managed my way around the course effectively, and put myself in plenty of good positions. The biggest challenge came on the greens. Running at an impressive 13.5 on the Stimpmeter, they were some of the quickest greens I've ever played in competition. It took a little time to adjust, and I certainly left a few shots out there with the putter. However, playing on surfaces of that quality is all part of the learning process and a valuable experience moving forward. Despite that challenge, there were so many positives to take away from the week. It was encouraging to see that many aspects of my game are moving in the right direction, and the experience has given me plenty of confidence for future events. Competing alongside professionals provided a great benchmark and highlighted areas where I can continue to improve. Overall, it was a fantastic week, and I'm grateful for the opportunity. I'm looking forward to building on the positives, learning from the experience, and hopefully competing in more professional events in the future. Thank you, as always, for your continued support, and special thanks to Bob Lucas, who made the journey over to come and watch. Tim
