On the 19th May 2026, Greetham Valley Golf Club hosted the annual Lincolnshire Past and Present Captains event. The event was held on the Lakes course. Fifty two players took part. Two teams of four were sent from Gedney Hill Golf Club. The format being the best three scores from four count towards the final score. I am pleased to say that one of the Gedney Hill teams won the team event with 114 points. The second Gedney Hill team got a credible 93 points. Also it is with equal pleasure I can announce that two members from Gedney Hill came first and second in the individual event. The winning team members were Neil Sargeant, Roy Bennett, Greg Walsh, and Raffaele Ragosa. The individual winner was Neil Sargeant on 41 points and runner up was Raffael Ragosa on 40 points. Jim Dixon, Seniors Captain, presented the Trophies to the team and Neil. Well done to all involved!
