Harburn Open - Scratch and Handicap
Scott Corrigan takes top spot
After the heavy rain of the last two days, thankfully the sun shone as did our winner Scott Corrigan (Greenburn). Not only did Scott top the Scratch and Handicap leaderboards, he also had a hole in one at the 15th capping off a fantastic round. His scratch 67 included 5 birdies at 4,6,11,13 and 18 as well as the eagle at 15. Scott was back in a magnificent 31 shots and finished 5 shots ahead of the next scratch player and 2 ahead in the handicap. As he can only win one prize, Scott takes the Scratch Competition. In second place on 72 was Tony Johnston (Heysham GC) who shot a superb one under par on the back nine to pip Graeme Stevenson (Uphall) and Nick Henderson (Harburn) on countback. Graeme just finished ahead of Nick in third thanks to his inward half of 35 to Nick’s 37. Gary Corrigan (Greenburn) and Jamie Groom (Harburn) had 73’s, Gary taking fifth on countback.
