Brickhampton A welcomed Lilleybrook on Saturday in a repeat of the opening fixture of the season, where the visitors had come out on top. This time, however, with home advantage and a determination to respond following the recent home defeat to Cirencester, Brickhampton were eager to make their mark. With the course playing firm and fast, the home side made the conditions count. Although the opening match went the way of Lilleybrook, Brickhampton responded immediately in match two. Club captain Nick and newly crowned Club Champion Gavin produced a composed performance to level the score at 1-1. Match three saw Tristan and James R make their first appearances of the season, and the pair marked their debuts in style with an excellent victory to edge Brickhampton in front. The decisive point came in match four, where James M and Jack delivered a dominant display, securing an emphatic 7/6 win to seal the overall match before the final games were completed. It ensured there would be no repeat of the opening-day defeat and confirmed a deserved home victory for Brickhampton. The win lifts Brickhampton A off the bottom of the league table and provides a welcome boost heading into the final stages of the season. The team now have a break before returning to action in September, when they host Lydney in another important home fixture The Brickhampton B Team made it a double with a 4-2 impressive away win at Lilleybrook . Not all plain sailing but to come home with a win away from home was exceptional . The B team now head their NGFL League 2 and hope to keep up their winning ways all the way to the title!
