The ups and downs of pro golf
Update
I thought I'd give everyone a little update on how my playing season has been going, as it really has been a perfect example of the highs and lows that come with professional golf. The biggest highlight recently came at Newport Links Golf Club, where I managed to shoot a course-record 66, finishing 6-under par. It was one of those rounds where everything seemed to click into place, and it was incredibly satisfying to see all the hard work paying off. More importantly, it feels like my game is finally in a really good place, and I'm playing with a lot more confidence heading into the rest of the season. Unfortunately, golf has a habit of keeping you grounded! Just a couple of days after that fantastic round, I pulled a muscle in my back. After taking some advice, I've had to make the disappointing decision to withdraw from a tournament next week. Naturally, I'm gutted, especially as I was looking forward to building on some good form. The good news is that it's only a minor setback, and I'm hopeful that with a bit of rest and recovery, I'll be ready to tee it up again at the tournament I've entered at the end of the month. I'm really looking forward to getting back out there and continuing the progress I've been making. Thank you to everyone at the club for your continued support and encouragement; it really does mean a lot. Tim
