Women’s Club Championship
Story: Women’s Club Championship 2026
The Womens Club Championships took place on Saturday 25th July. The weather was beautiful throughout the day with warm sunshine and a gentle breeze providing excellent playing conditions. The competition was over 18 holes with 8 players taking part. The field was divided into one 2 ball and 2 three balls ensuring a steady pace of play. The course was in great condition although extremely dry and firm making for some incredible drives that flew through the air before rolling on a long long way! A drive on the 12th was thought to be a lost ball and resulted in the walk of shame back to the tee box only to be found down by the bunker on the right. On the 18th, two drives were launched a fantastic 250 yards. Annabel rounded off her day in style with a superb birdie, and quite a few other players also achieved brilliant birdies and pars. Karen did very well whizzing around in the Marshall buggy which was very kindly offered to her as the others were all in use. She was not only playing but also keeping an eye out for the occasional stray ball! All in all it was a fantastic day with a perfect mixture of laughter, great golf and the occasional moment of despair. *Winners* Gross winner Tamsin score 97 Nett winner Penny score 69 Well done and many thanks to everyone who played, it was a great day enjoyed by all.
