The annual Osborne Golf Club Charity Day in aid of Mountbatten Hospice, was an outstanding success. Our members never cease to amaze us with their generosity in supporting such a wonderful cause, one that is so important to our Island. It was a fantastic day of golf, friendship and fun, with some excellent scoring in the Mixed Greensomes competition. Huge congratulations go to our worthy winners of the Colin Dominey Trophy, Sid Owen and Lesley Catchpole, who finished with a superb 49 points. A heartfelt thank you must go to our incredible fundraising team – Normah, Lynne, Peggy and Barbara – who worked tirelessly to organise the entire event. Thanks also to Team Osborne, Jeanette and James for keeping everyone refreshed behind the bar, and Jodie and Zoe for providing such delicious food throughout the day. We were overwhelmed by the generosity shown through the many raffle and auction donations, and by the incredible support of everyone who took part. Together, you helped raise the phenomenal sum of more than £900 for Mountbatten Hospice. Thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered, played and supported the day. Once again, Osborne Golf Club has shown what a wonderfully generous and caring community it is.
