Out of Bounds Stakes White Out of Bounds (OB) stakes are fixed boundary markers and form part of the course boundary. They must not be moved, removed or interfered with in order to play a shot. Doing so is a breach of Rule 8 and carries the general penalty of two strokes in stroke play or loss of hole in match play. If you notice any damaged, missing or displaced stakes, please report them to the Pro Shop. Smoking on the Course Due to the exceptionally dry conditions, members and visitors are asked not to smoke on the course. This is a temporary precaution to reduce the risk of fire and help protect the course during the current dry spell. We appreciate everyone's cooperation until conditions improve. Drainage Works Members will have noticed the installation of drainage lines in various areas of the course. These works form part of our ongoing investment programme and are designed to improve course conditioning, surface drainage and year-round playability. Free relief remains available from drainage lines in accordance with the Local Rules. Please ensure relief is taken correctly at the nearest point of complete relief. Goose Droppings Local Rule The temporary Local Rule relating to goose droppings remains in effect. The Committee is currently reviewing the rule and monitoring conditions around the course, but members should continue to proceed in accordance with the existing Local Rule until further notice.
