Flempton Golf Club Weekly Update The Week 039 – Monday 03rd August 2026 Dear Members, Welcome to August, a new month with new challenges ahead. There seems to be no let up with the weather with today and tomorrow forecast to be in the early to mid 30’s. cooling down slightly throughout the week, with a small chance of some rain around midday on Thursday. We shall see, fingers crossed for a little more of the desperately needed water. Catering Corner No catering so to speak today unfortunately, although the odd sandwich or toastie could be rustled up. Emma is back in tomorrow (4th), Wednesday, Friday and Saturday and Thomas will be covering Thursday and Sunday. Competition Corner Monday 3rd – No scheduled event. Tuesday 4th – Ladies 18 Hole Medal, no general play restriction. Wednesday 5th – FOBs v FLYs Match. 1st and 4th tee restricted between 1215-1245hrs, otherwise no general play restrictions. Thursday 6th – Gents Open. Course closed until 1400hrs. Friday 7th– No scheduled event. Saturday 8th – ladies 18-hole Stableford. No general play restrictions. Sunday 9th August – 18-hole Mixed Medal. No general play restrictions. Bag Tags As a reminder the new club bag tags are available for collection from the bar staff, please ensure you collect one during your next visit. The displaying of the bag tags is already paying dividends as Tom has already removed someone off the course that was not a member. Members, please ensure your guests acquire a visitor bag tag before commencing play. Rules Corner After a couple of weeks off, our rules quiz has returned.
