Captain's Day Report Thank you to all our members for making Captain’s Day such an enjoyable and memorable occasion for me and my family. Your support, enthusiasm and good spirit throughout the day truly showcased what makes our club so special. It was a pleasure to meet up with so many of you taking part from every section of the club, celebrating together, and contributing to a fantastic atmosphere right across the day. My thanks to all those that helped set up and serve at the gazebo (especially my sister-in-law who I forget the mention in my speech!), those in the pro-shop and clubhouse, to the greenkeepers who continue to present the course in such excellent condition, those that contributed to prizes, including Jonathan, members and local businesses. To Michael Noyce who entertained you in the afternoon (with a guest appearance from Gareth Brown’s son). Many congratulations to all the winners, in the swing room, the chipping challenge and on the course and I hope you enjoy your prizes. The day raised around £3,000 for my charity Parkinson’s UK. For those that brought raffle tickets the prizes and numbers are attached to this email and can be picked up outside the club office. Finally, special thanks to all those that made the evening social event so special with lots of laughter and dancing (and I expect a few sore heads in the morning), and to Jak Cooper who, as always, made the evening swing with his brilliant vocals. Congratulations to Chris Hickling & Russ West for winning the competition with 43 points. Bob Forshaw & Alan Simmonds came second with 38 points.
