Temporary Local Rule
with effect from 8th September 2026
RELIEF FROM OVERSEEDING SLITS
If a player’s ball lies in or touches an overseeding slit in the general area [cut to fairway height or less], the player may take free relief under Rule 16.1b.
If the ball comes to rest in another overseeding slit the player make take relief again under this Local Rule.
Relief is not allowed if the overseeding slit only interferes with the player’s stance or area of intended swing.
