Chance to club together
Volunteers needed
Do you fancy making a real difference to your Club? Divot Party events have been very popular for some years now. Inspired by that, the Club is launching an exciting venture and your help is needed to make it work. Would you be able to step forward and join the new Club’s Member Volunteer Group? The aim is to help keep the courses in the best possible condition by asking volunteers to work alongside the greens team on light but valuable tasks. You can make a a real difference. Once established the Volunteer Group’s typical jobs could include bunker preparation, including stone removal, tee divoting, weed and scrub removal and painting and small maintenance tasks. The idea is that these are straightforward jobs in support of rather than replacing existing staff, which will help improve playing conditions and the appearance of Ipswich Golf Club. Even a small input from this new group is expected to have a noticeable impact. If you volunteer, you will be assigned into a small sub-group. Sessions will be arranged that suit each of the sub-groups. All tools and guidance will be provided and you can volunteer on a regular basis or just occasionally. If you would like to part of this exciting initiative please email the office at office@ipswichgolfclub.com
