Irrigation System We are delighted to be able to announce the start of the irrigation programme during week commencing Monday 21st September. The commencement, of the work is three weeks earlier than originally planned which has been possible because of the recent rainfall and change in ground conditions. This is great news as it provides us with some flexibility should there be extremes in the rainfall over the winter months. In addition, an earlier completion of the project will stand us in good stead for next year and should we experience really bad weather over the winter this will put us ahead of the original plans. Our contractors, Green Irrigation, will start by pulling in the main line pipework around the golf course and initially disruption to play will be minimal. Any hole closures that are required will be notified to members through the Club V1 app and website. Reservoir Just to keep members updated, the reservoir has been used throughout the summer months, and as expected the water levels have dropped. We have used 13,685 cubic meters so far to encourage recovery from the drought along with the rainfall. We continue to water all surfaces as required, including fairways, to aid recovery in preparation for overseeding in renovation week. During the periods of rainfall, we are also pumping water back into the reservoir to top up these levels.
